We collabed with Gener8tor’s art business incubator Fellowship.Art to jury their $60k in awards and the inaugural cohort of artists. Then we posted up at their plaza to meet with Fellowship.Art applicants and hosted a fireside chat about unique art business models.

We rolled into Kinnektor Con to emcee the conference and the business pitch contest, and hosted a panel on unique business models and open office hours for attendees.

FARM ART DTOUR

Reedsburg WI // October 13 - 14, 2018

Is there a new way to value agriculture? We barnstormed the dairy state of Wisconsin to answer the question, "What local food would you be willing to pay double for? We parked our mobile recording studio here in the unglaciated city of Reedsburg. A driftless area characterized by high bluffs, agricultural valleys, and record flooding this year. The FarmArt DTour is part of Fermentation Fest is a celebration of growth and decay. Across 50+ miles of roads, performances and installations illustrate the cycle of life and death.

What began as a detour became an epic happenstance. While checking out a lighthouse we bumped into kindred spirit Roger Bansemer, virtuoso painter and host of "Painting and Traveling". We posted up at his place and interviewed him about a life of hot air ballooning, RV-ing and being only painter to visit the sunken Titanic!

We figured out a "mobile" Mobile Incubator! We brought the "Pop-up Basecamp" to Endicott College to engage the students from the Visual Performing Arts Center, the Van Loan School of Professional Studies, and the Angle Center for Entrepreneurship. Open office hours and class visits culminated in a public presentation of arts business models.

This visit to Allston is supported by Zone 3, is a Harvard-sparked initiative to further activate and energize Western Ave with creative programs, events, and retail.
